He is a researcher at the Center for Nutrition Research of the University of Navarra (Spain). He leads the research line in Precision Nutrition, which studies the influence of nutrigenetics, epigenetics, non-coding RNAs and gut microbiota on obesity and its comorbidities. He has published more than 250 scientific articles (H index of 49) and supervised 13 doctoral theses.

He holds a PhD in Nutrition, as well as a PhD y Pharmacy and Medicine. He is currently the director of the Precision Nutrition Program in IMDEA Food and has been involved in reference European projects such as DIOGENES, SEAFOODplus NUGENOB, FOOD4ME, STOP PREVIEW and SWEET. Prof J. Alfredo Martínez has also been involved in national consortia including PREDIMED and CIBERobn, and the derived results and conceptual contributions have been published in the most relevant scientific and medical journals, receiving more than 26.000 cites. In addition, Prof J. Alfredo Martínez has supervised more than 75 PhD students and published more than 850 peer reviewed articles in the field of Nutrition and Obesity (H Index > 75), including Precision Nutrition omics. Currently, Prof J. Alfredo Martínez is the president of the International Union of Nutrition Sciences (IUNS) and has been awarded with numerous prizes including the Hipócrates or the Dupont awards. During his career, Pro J. Alfredo Martínez has enjoyed training or invited stays at the MIT, as well as in the universities of Nottingham, Berkeley, Harvard, Oxford, and King´s College in London.

    Dr. Oscar Omar Ramos López
    Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, México. Dr. Ramos López obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition (University of Guadalajara) in 2010. In 2016, he obtained the degree of PhD in Molecular Biology in Medicine (University of Guadalajara). He also carried out a 2-year international postdoctoral stay (2016-2018) at the Nutrition Research Center of the University of Navarra, Spain. Currently, he is full-time research-professor (level C) at the School of Medicine and Psychology, Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana, México. Dr. Ramos is a member of the national system of researchers at level 1 since 2017. His scientific production includes 55 publications, more than 700 citations, and H-index 16.

    Department of Epidemiology, Tulane University. Dr. Lu Qi obtained a medical degree in China and PhD at Tufts University in the United States. He is now HCA Regents Distinguished Chair and Professor of Epidemiology in Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Director of Tulane Personalized Health Institute, and Director of Tulane University Obesity Research Center. He is also Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health. His research focuses on nutritional epidemiology, nutrigenomics and nutrigenetics of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Qi’s current h-index is 103 (by June. 2022). Dr. Qi is a fellow of American Heart Association (FAHA), American College of Nutrition (FACN), and The Obesity Society (FOS).

    Dr. Katherine Livingstone
    Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, Deakin University, Australia. Dr. Katherine Livingstone is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and senior research fellow in the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) at Deakin University in Australia. She is a domain coordinator for IPAN’s Food, Nutrition and Health research domain. Katherine leads a research program in dietary patterns and cardiometabolic health, with a particular focus on designing personalized nutrition approaches. She has multi-disciplinary expertise in nutritional epidemiology, behavioral nutrition, biochemistry and human interventions. Prior to moving to Australia in 2015, Katherine worked in the UK as a research associate on the Food4Me project, a pan-European proof-of-principle trial of personalized nutrition.
